Porsche to Expand Leipzig, Germany factory to Make Way for the "Cajun"

 
Time for a history lesson.

Back in 1999, Porsche opened the doors of their Leipzig, Germany factory back in 2002 with production of the Cayenne. As of November, 2011, the plant has built roughly 420,000 vehicles.

Latest news? Porsche will be expanding the facility to make way for the "Cajun." The expansion is expected to be finished by the end of 2013 when the tentatively-named Cajun-a younger sibling to the Cayenne SUV-will begin production

Porsche officially unveils 2012 911 S at Rennsport Reunion IV

 
The Rennsport Reunion IV officially marks the unveiling of the 2012 Porsche 911 S making its North American debut. On display? Two upgraded 911 S models, fitted with 3.8-liter flat-six engines that produce 400 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. What else do you need to know? A seven-speed manual is standard in both rear-wheel-drive models, with Porsche's seven-speed PDK automated gearbox optional.

Porshe 911 Speedster receives "Golden Classic Steering Wheel"

No big surprise here, Porsche is no stranger to receiving awards and acclaim with this month bringing yet another recognition.
