Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet

Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet

When Porsche  designs looks to design a car, one fundamental aspect is a lightweight body shell. A light body frame is economically and ecologically important. It allows for low fuel consumption but also produces an outstanding performance.

The Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet
is economical due to the high production of aluminum cast alloys, magnesium, plastics and super high-strength sheet steel that is used to form the body frame of the Porsche 911 . These elements are substantially more stable and lighter than conventional steel. Around 20% of  Porsche 911  models are made of lightweight alloy elements.

It is ecological because all the materials used are very carefully selected. Porsche only uses innovative and environmentally safe products. All of their lightweight materials are easily recyclable and each material is used in a way that makes recycling an easy process. Porsche 911
models are made of fewer plastic elements which ensure easier recycling. Recycled plastics are used where they meet technical requirements.  The current 911 models are made of about 85% recyclables.

Porsche also uses primarily environmentally friendly water-based paints. The 911 models are absolutely free of asbestos, CFCs and components manufactured using CFCs. Porsche believes that protecting the environment does not begin at the end of a car's life, it starts at the beginning. It starts in the planning and the developing. Prevention is always much easier than treatment. Start perfect, live perfect, and the end will be perfect!

Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet- Features

Every driver has the option to install the universal audio interface. With this optional feature, the center console storage compartment will contain three connections: one for your iPod, one for a USB stick, MP3 player and one as an AUX interface for any compatible audio source of your choice. The iPod  or USB stick can be controlled easily and safely using the PCM, the steering wheel or the voice control system.

The Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet  has very sensitive and precise  power steering giving the car excellent contact with the road with minimum steering effort required by any standards, but very good when comparing to sports car standards. The power steering of this car enables the steering precision you get when driving an actual race car- even on those slow Sunday morning drives.

A feature that is very special to the 911 is the variable steering ratio. Around the straight ahead positio
n, like in motorway driving, the ratio is less direct. The less direct the ratio the more control you have, and the chances of you losing control of the wheel at high speeds is  greatly reduced without sacrificing agility or feedback.

All Porsche 911 models come with the standard Bi-Xenon headlights. These lights provide brightness up to two times brighter that the average halogen lamp. Whether you are using low or high beams, the lights are stronger and more constant providing enough light at all times ensuring that the driver does not need to strain to see the road.

The 911 also has a headlight cleaning system that is b
uilt-in.

You also have the option to add cornering lights, that hug every corner
of that dark canyon road. This is made possible by sensors that continuously monitor your speed, lateral acceleration and steering lock, in turn calculating the course of every bend. This calculation determines the angle at which each light should be hitting the road to
maximize your ability to see the road at an given moment.
